Surgical Trauma "3A" is a 33-bed unit, fast-paced med-surg
telemetry unit which focuses on adult post- operative and trauma
patients. Nurse patient ratios are: Days 5:1, Nights 6:1. On our
unit we offer you the opportunity to develop excellent critical
thinking skills as well as use a wide variety of clinical skills
including:
Head-to-toe assessmentsReading and
posting telemetry stripsIV insertionsCatheter, trach, and ostomy
careWound careChest tubesQualifications:Education: Graduate of an
accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given
for comparable education experience and successful
licensure.Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and
maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which
nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of
Nursing requirements Basic Life Support certification through the
American Heart Association or successful completion of course
within 30 days of hire
